Danny Lipford, who grew up in Marianna and is a residence advancement pro, is bringing new lifestyle to Lafayette Road in Marianna with what he calls a “pocket park,” which will be recognised as Lafayette Landing. The park will be sandwiched amongst two structures that were repaired soon after Michael, found at 4448 Lafayette Road.
Lipford is the host of the national television show “Modern House owner,” now in its 23rd year. There will be two episodes airing in early 2021 that includes this venture.
“It’s refreshing to have a little something beneficial to target on and rejoice, specially all through a year that has been difficult for us all,” Lipford reported in a statement.
The park delivers the community a tiny party area with seating, lighting, a phase, landscaping and more.
Development will get started Saturday, Dec. 5 and stop on Thursday, Dec. 10. More than 100 volunteers and metropolis leaders will be concerned in the community project. Students attending Chipola College or university and Jackson County large schools have already started setting up wooden planters, picnic tables and benches that will be set up in the park.
A ribbon-slicing ceremony will be held Thursday, Dec. 10 from 3:30 – 6:30 pm.
