A Lafayette guy was arrested Friday in connection with a house enhancement fraud situation out of St. Landry Parish.
The Sheriff’s Place of work says that 48-yr-previous Albert George Johnson was arrested pursuing an investigation that commenced in February 2020.
According to Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz, Detectives were notified on February 23, 2020 to a residential contractor fraud incident.
Upon additional investigation, it was determined that the sufferer allegedly entered into a contractual agreement with Johnson, who is identified as the proprietor of Alliance Covenant Portray, LLC.
The target instructed deputies that Johnson had allegedly agreed to rework the victim’s home and acquired an initial payment on September 21, 2019. The rework commenced the following working day. Deputies say Johnson continued to acquire payment for labor and material from the sufferer but only sporadically worked at the victim’s home.
Johnson very last labored at the residence on December 20, 2019 and did not finish the rework.
