College PARK, Pa. — Sara Thorndike, vice chancellor for administration and finance and main money officer at East Carolina College, has been named Penn Condition University’s senior vice president for finance and enterprise/treasurer, effective Jan. 18.
Thorndike’s appointment follows a countrywide research. She succeeds David Grey who is retiring after eight yrs of company to the university.
Thorndike will oversee Penn State’s money effectiveness below an working finances totaling $7 billion for the 2020-21 fiscal 12 months, as properly as leading financial, endowment, small business and administrative actions for all Penn State campuses.
Thorndike has been vice chancellor for administration and finance and chief fiscal officer at East Carolina University since March 2018. She previously served as senior associate vice chancellor for business enterprise affairs, main money officer and controller at the College of North Carolina Wilmington.
She holds a B.S. in accounting from Franklin University in Columbus, an MBA from Ohio Condition College and a doctoral degree in increased schooling leadership from the College of North Carolina Wilmington.
